Kay Fanning Memorial Journalism Scholarship
To provide financial assistance for tuition and other related educational expenses for up to four years at the University of Alaska Anchorage, to one or more journalism students, who demonstrate a long-term interest to work in the field of journalism and financial need. The Donor’s hope is the scholarship will enable recipients to graduate with less loan burden than they would have had without the scholarship. Prior year recipients will receive successive year awards as long as they maintain eligibility and reapply.
Recipient must be in good academic standing, which is defined as meeting UAA’s Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. Recipient must demonstrate financial need. Recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
