First Fruits Scholarship for Working Students

The purpose of the First Fruits Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for tuition and other educational expenses to students currently enrolled at the University of Alaska Anchorage who demonstrate financial need. Recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and demonstrate financial need.

Preference will be given to students who :

  • Graduated from high school in Alaska, or have legacy to UAA through their parents;
  • Complete the additional essay elaborating on how this degree will be used to improve the lives of others;
  • Are currently employed and working at least twenty hours per week;
  • Previously received this scholarship. Financial need must be demonstrated each year.
