Dr. Val D. Stuve Scholarship for Veterinary Medicine

To honor the many and considerable contributions of Val D. Stuve, DVM to the advancement of Veterinary Medicine and the improvement in the quality of animal health care in Alaska, and to provide scholarships to veterinary students at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Recipient must be a Professional Veterinary student in good standing in the UAF/CSU collaborative program. First preference is for the student deemed most worthy by the scholarship committee; however, in the case of a tie, the secondary preference is for a second year student over a first year student. Second preference is for Alaska resident students first, out-of-state resident students second. Third preference is for students who have demonstrated interest and/or dedication to small animal medicine and surgery, students interested and/or dedicated in large animal medicine and surgery second. Fourth preference is for students with financial need. Student must be enrolled full time with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
