Practicum in Public Health Scholarship

The Practicum in Public Health Scholarship provides scholarship support for post-graduate students researching epidemiology and/or preventive medicine. Applicant must be matriculated into a public health-related graduate degree program at the University of Alaska. Student will identify mentor and mentor organization and provide a letter of commitment from the individual mentor with the scholarship application. Applicant must be willing to commit to a minimum of 240 hours of practicum over the course of one (1) year. Recipient must be admitted into the Master of Public Health (MPH) program and must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Requirement: be admitted into the Master of Public Health (MPH) program; a minimum GPA of 3.0; a resident of Alaska. Alaska Native/American Indian students are preferred, however other students interested in pursuing a career related to tribal health will be considered.
