Engineering Dean's Excellence Award - 2018-2019 (C. Harold Wirum)

To recognize academic excellence and potential for success in the College of Engineering at the University of Alaska Anchorage, the Engineering Dean’s Excellence Award provides financial assistance for tuition and other related educational expenses to engineering majors through four-year scholarships. It is a goal of this fund to provide assistance to a limited number of students from their freshman through senior years; therefore recipients must continue to meet minimum academic qualifications throughout their degree program to retain the scholarship. Consideration will be given to students seeking to live and work in Alaska.

Requirements: apply to UAA, designating the College of Engineering; be completing Calculus and Physics in their senior year of high school or earlier, with a grade of 3.0 or better; submit a complete application for admission (including their UA Online application, seventh semester high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores) by February 1st of their senior year; a minimum cumulative (unweighted) GPA of 3.5; a minimum ACT Math and Composite scores of 28, or an SAT score (combined Math and Critical Reading only) of 1260.
