Molly Ann Mishler Memorial Scholarship

Molly Ann Mishler was born April 2, 1972, to Craig and Barbara Ensor Mishler. She was the sister of Susanna Jane Mishler. Molly was only two and a half when she died on Sept. 27, 1974, after a year-long battle with leukemia. She was with us too short a time, but her brief life brought lasting beauty and love into the lives of many. She was a glorious presence in the world while she was here. Molly’s mother enjoyed a 30-year teaching career at the Matanuska-Susitna College of the University of Alaska Anchorage. Upon retiring in 2001, she began a scholarship in Molly’s memory for a student studying early childhood education. Helping to care for children was a fitting tribute to a little girl which she herself might have understood and affirmed.
